Teaching and mentoring others has always been a passion for Janine. From the early days of her design career, she seized every opportunity she had to lead and mentor the people around her, from troubleshooting CAD issues to developing best practices, standards, and templates to use on projects going forward. During her time at Rowan University, she was Co-Captain of the Concrete Canoe Team and President of the Catholic Campus Ministry. During her time at Matawan Regional High School she was Captain of her Cross Country Team, Secretary of the National Honor Society, a Math Tutor, along with many other activities. In 2010, she also participated in MathWorks Math Modeling (M3) Challenge and her team won an Honorable Mention Team Prize.
Janine is thrilled to be involved with The Gearing Towards Engineering Foundation as COO. “As someone who struggles with anxiety, I always appreciated having strong leaders and mentors to help show me the different paths in life I could take. It brings me joy to have this opportunity to pay it forward to the next generation.”
